I’m just a little sick of people saying everything Apple does is perfect, and frankly, I’m glad the AT&T exclusivity deal gave other mobile operating systems - most notably Android - time to grow.

Sascha Segan writes a contrarian post in which he attempts to walk people away from Verizon iPhone hysteria.

In addition to blaming tech writers working on the coasts for writing as if the iPhone is the only innovative piece of mobile hardware out there (he’s right to castigate them), his take on AT&T’s exclusive hold on the iPhone makes a good point: Without it, Android wouldn’t have become a worthy competitor.

I’m super interested to see how Android — which, to my mind, is as mature, useful and fun as iOS — fares now that its biggest U.S. supporter will get hold of the competition.
