Tidbits from Pew Internet's cell phone survey

via pewinternet.org
Check out Pew Internet’s survey of cell phone usage among different generations. It’s fascinating.
A couple of interesting tidbits:
- 63% of Millenials access the Internet on their phones (does that include Internet-using apps?)
- 42% of Gen X-ers do the same
- A whopping 91% of Millenials, and 76% of all adults, take pictures on their phones
- A similar number send or receive text messages
One thing is obvious - our phones are no longer phones. They are Internet-enable pocket computers and messaging devices. Would be nice to see pricing plans and regulatory policies that reflect this…
